What you can do if you experience pain in/ sides of your hip

Women are particularly affected by this. This is due to the fact that during puberty, girls’ hips expand remarkably and this becomes a more susceptible spot for injury.

This is not to say that men cannot suffer from this, just that women experience faster and more preventable pain here.

Fortunately, this can be easily solved by strengthening the gluteus and gluteus medius muscles.

How best to train these muscles? Through lateral (sideways) strength exercises. Consider the exercises below:

Clamshell
Fire hydrant
Standing march front
Side step
